The SENNA x TEAM LOTUS Oversize Full Zip Varsity Jacket is one of the defining pieces of the collection. Black body, cream shoulders, gold zip, with striped rib at the collar, cuffs and hem. The chest proudly wears Team Lotus in applied varsity lettering between the Lotus roundel and the Senna mark.

Everything on it marks something won. A laurel roundel on the left sleeve reads 1st, Portugal, 1985, Ayrton Senna. Below it sits a 12 patch with Colin Chapman’s interlocked initials worked into both digits. The right sleeve with SENNA in arched lettering above his Nacional helmet, the Brazilian bank that backed him from his earliest days in the sport. The back is given over to the record itself: Estoril 1985, crossed flags, pole position 1.21.007, fastest lap 1.44.121, and the line Driven by Challenge.

Those times are from 21 April 1985, his second start for Team Lotus. He took pole on the Saturday, led all 67 laps in the rain on the Sunday, and finished more than a minute clear of the field for his first Grand Prix win.
