Black oversized cotton tee with gold piping along the shoulders and sleeves. The Team Lotus roundel sits on the left chest and the Senna mark on the right, with Team Lotus in gold serif across the chest and Ayrton Senna in script beneath it. A woven badge at the hem carries his number 12 alongside both marks, next to a green, yellow and blue ribbon tab in the colours he wore on his helmet. The back is left plain.

The black and gold came from John Player Special, which backed Team Lotus from 1972. Lotus had started the practice four years earlier, when Colin Chapman put tobacco branding on a Formula One car and ended decades of national racing colours. A bold expression of an iconic era.
